Pure Organics - the MOST amazing manicure / pedicure system!!!

So… I went on a training course this weekend to qualify in the Pure Organics pedicure / manicure system. All I can say is “WOW!!!” I have never seen or experienced anything like it before. And I’m not just saying this because I offer it to my clients. I am saying it because I would be utterly stupid to NOT offer it to my clients!! I have never, ever seen a group of products designed to perfectly excite your senses and give such lasting results.

The Pure Organics system is a 6 step manicure / pedicure system that is made using only high grade, pure organic ingredients (certified by Active Organics) There are 5 different ones to choose from: Lavender Blossom (calms and relaxes), Citrus Orange (anti – ageing, reducing fine lines and wrinkles), Hawaiian Orchid (firming, lifting and healing), Cucumber splash (anti-inflammatory, hydrating), and finally Green Tea and Acai (rich in anti-oxidants and reverses sun damage).  Each step of each range smells the same and every single scent is just utterly heavenly!! Once you start the manicure / pedicure the entire room smells gorgeous. Can you tell how in love I am??!! Each manicure / pedicure starts with a relaxing soak in warm water and diamond crystals, followed by the addition of ocean salts. The next step is to use a sugar scrub to exfoliate your skin, and then a purifying mask is applied. Finally your feet and lower legs are massaged using the silky soft massage lotion followed by the application of cuticle oil.

I won’t go into details of each step and each ingredient because it would take far too long but I’ll give you a run-down of a few of them. The diamond crystals soak contain Arnica flower and Konjac Mannan extracts designed to aid relaxation of your muscles and removal of toxins from the skin and body. The ocean salts contain 4 types of salts – Dead Sea Crystals, mineral rock crystals among others which are full of minerals to help soothe and smooth the skin. The sugar scrub contains 4 types of sugar, as sugar is a natural exfoliant, does not clog the pores and conditions and protects your skin. The purifying mask contains Bentonite Clay which is unique in its ability to absorb toxins from your skin. The massage lotions contain natural glycerine – a natural humectant which absorbs water from the air and keeps your skin feeling soft, silky and moisturised. The cuticle oils are made with the highest grade Moroccan Argan oil, Avocado oil and Jojoba oil which nourishes your skin and prevents it from drying out. (* all this information was obtained from the Pure Organics Manicure / Pedicure system)

As Gel II / La Palm products are relatively new to the UK, I am not able to find another nail technician (either salon / home based) who offers this treatment in Milton Keynes! So if you are in Milton Keynes come and check it out!! You will not be disappointed!!! J

Until next time, lovely people

LAUNCHING MY NEW WEBSITE!!!

So today is D – day.. The day my website goes live… I’m a bit scared. I’m not sure why…I know that it is absolutely fantastic because my husband designed it and he never does anything half way or half arsed. He has spent so much time and effort making it perfect for me.. But still… it seems like I’m putting myself “out there”. Like an internet dating profile or something… “I’m 5ft 6 with perfect 38-32-36 measurements.. pick me for the time (ride) of your life…” Clearly I would be rubbish at internet dating (and my actual measurements are nowhere close)!! But I digress… So yeah, it feels like I’m trying to sell myself and that’s a little scary because what if nobody wants what I gots???!!! Wow that sounds like I’m selling something other than beautiful nails!!! Still digressing!! So, like I was saying - yes I already have a Nail Candy face book page but this is different. It’s more… formal .. more business-like…more “Oh my goodness I’m running a nail business!!!” So I have decided that to try and get people to check out my website I am doing a giveaway! Two vouchers worth £20 to two lovely ladies who are in Milton Keynes or who are able to visit me to get their chosen treatment. I really hope it’s something that the lovely ladies who have liked my Facebook page are interested in..

So, I will be putting the giveaway on Facebook tonight. I will let you know how it goes…I know I’m assuming that someone  will be reading this – but you have to dream BIG!! :-)

Oh and if you wanted to check my website out its www.nailcandymk.com

I'll be back soon

Welcome to Candy Gossip - all that's deliciously sweet about nails by Nail Candy MK

So... hi everyone!

I thought I'd start a blog because... why not?? I love reading other blogs and writing one myself could be so much fun! So thanks for visiting my blog and (hopefully) reading to the end :-)

About a year ago I decided to embark on my nail journey... I can't say that I am a typical "girly - girl". I usually can't be bothered with wearing lots of make up, I hate clothes shopping and I do like shoes but I'll have comfort over beauty 97% of the time!! (I wish I could be different but it seems to take soooo much energy to look perfectly groomed 100% of the time.) But I do like having perfect nails!! And so do my mom and my sister! And the three of us thought that instead of getting someone else to do our nails.. why didn't I?? So I did a bit of reseach (By "research" I mean I asked my sister and my mom what nail products they preferred) and decided to do  the CND Shellac beginners course. It was a fab course - lots of studying beforehand and a test that needed a pass mark of 70% - and the educator was great. Super friendly, very knowledgeable and her salon was beautiful! (For anyone living in Banbury its called So....Hair, Nails and Beauty) and if I wasn't sure that the beauty industry was for me before then, i was 100% sure after the course.

And so Nail Candy (Milton Keynes) was born.... There is nothing quite as exciting as embarking on a new journey!! (if you put aside the fear of failure for a short while). Trying to find a name for the business.... logo... colour scheme....insurance....website....customers! The list is close to never - ending... You can never achieve perfection - and if you stop trying then you are lazy or arrogant (well my opinion anyway) and so every week there is something that I think needs changing or tweaking or a new product I want to try that I think clients would benefit from...

And I guess thats what this blog will be all about.... Me trying new products for my business, trying to find new ways to enhance clients' experience or just being really honest about the highs and lows of starting a new business!

So, thanks for reading and I'll be back soon!!
